Ms. Marmarinos served as the Executive Vice President of Strategic Planning & Corporate Development for Sequella, Inc. Ms. Marmarinos also served as AVP of Ventures at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Boston. Previously, she was a Worldwide Marketing Development Manager, Immunoassay Diagnostics, at Corning Medical and Ciba Corning Diagnostics. Ms. Marmarinos was an Instructor of Medical Microbiology at Nassau College in New York. She is a Member of the Corporation of Partners Healthcare, Inc.; a Member of the Board of Overseers of Brigham and Women’s Hospital; and a Member of the Leadership Council of the Biomedical Research Institute at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Dr. Charles Hoyng provides advice and counsel regarding intellectual property, business strategy, and product development issues, for life science, biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies. Previously, Dr. Hoyng was a Partner in Latham & Watkins’ Silicon Valley and Boston offices and a member of the Intellectual Property and Technology Practice Group. Prior to joining Latham & Watkins, Dr. Hoyng was a partner in the San Francisco office of Morrison & Foerester LLP. Dr. Hoyng's legal and business practice consists of negotiating and drafting technology license agreements and other agreements, and counseling in the development, protection, manufacture and distribution of high technology products, particularly in the areas of biotechnology, pharmaceutical products, medical diagnostic products, medical devices and health care related businesses. He served as lead attorney on several significant transactions including GlobeImmune/Cellgene, GlobeImmune/Gilead, Chiron/StarBio, Eli Lilly/United HealthCare, Allergan/Medytox; Allergan/ GSK, Oncomed/GSK among many others. After earning his Ph.D. at M.I.T. and prior to earning his law degree, Dr. Hoyng was a post-doctoral research fellow at Caltech (the California Institute of Technology), Pasadena, California, an Assistant Professor of Chemistry at Texas A&M University, and held several positions at Genentech, Inc., including Director, Organic Chemistry, and Project Director for Genentech's tissue plasminogen activator (t-PA) project.
